What is the K-Laser and How Can It Help You?
Laser therapy has been used in Europe for over forty years and and the K-Laser technology is an FDA approved class IV laser therapy. Our K-Laser at Lewis Family Chiropractic & Wellness Center, is a “Cube 4” model, the top of the line therapeutic laser offered by the K-Laser company.
This breakthrough laser technology has helped us treat patients with issues ranging from diabetic neuropathy, back pain, tendinitis, neck pain, leg pain, tension headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, pinched nerves, plantar fasciitis (heel pain) and other assorted issues.
What to Expect with K-Laser Therapy
The K-Laser works using a technology that increases the patient’s metabolism at the cellular level. This speeds up the body’s own healing process. It also triggers the body’s own production of a pain-relieving substance, and improves circulation, all of which speeds recovery and reduces pain. This is a non-invasive, non-surgical therapy procedure that is considered safe. Potential side effects are generally benign and very infrequent and will be explained prior to receiving treatment.
Typical treatment times are from 3 to 9 minutes. Acute care treatment programs typically get results within 3 to 6 treatments. However, laser sessions for diabetic neuropathy are longer. Maintenance care can be very helpful for pain relief and improved function for those with chronic conditions.
This video explains the mechanism behind K-Laser class 4 laser therapy treatments.
